Global service-learning is continuing to grow within the discipline and a few SUNY Buffalo State faculty members have elected to extend global service-learning into their course work.
Below is a sampling of current global service-learning experiences happening with SUNY Buffalo State faculty members and their students in communities across the globe:
International PDS to Chile, China, England, Germany, Dominican Republic, Zambia, Italy, and Honduras
Anne Frank Project to Rwanda
Hope Haiti in Borgne, Haiti
Scholarships of $250-$1,000 are available for SUNY Buffalo State students to support participation in international service-learning or international volunteer experiences. If you are coordinating a global service-learning experience with students, please share this information with them. Application materials and eligibility details can be found on our website. If you would like a member of the Civic and Community Engagement staff to explain the scholarship process with your class, please contact us at 716-878-3919 to set up an appropriate meeting time.
