SUNY Buffalo State students can be recruited for one-time, short-term, or ongoing projects with community agencies through our on-line volunteer posting system known as ORCA. Students can assist with projects that require extra assistance. Examples include, but are not limited to, community revitalization projects, tutoring, mentoring, clerical work, mailings, fundraisers, or special events.
Throughout the year, the Civic and Community Engagement Office sponsors service events for SUNY Buffalo State students. If your organization would like to participate in one of the events below, please email the office.
Meet with the office staff and SUNY Buffalo State faculty to discuss service-learning partnerships for the fall 2017 semester. Be ready to speak about future service-learning project ideas and network with other non-profit organizations. You can view a tentative list of courses that are seeking community partners online.
Unable to attend? You can still express your interest in partnering with service-learning courses using our new virtual course sign up form.
