Tell us about yourself: I'm currently a junior studying Childhood Education with a concentration in English. I have previously participated in the SUNY Stands with Puerto Rico program in Summer 2018, and also in the AB trip to Puerto Rico in January 2019. Outside of college, I am a substitute teacher in three school districts, work at an after-school program, and occasionally do freelance piano performance. I also am a volunteer Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line. I also participate in research on social issues and education, and this summer I will be living in Puerto Rico for two months to rebuild and concurrently study the effects of Hurricane Maria on the Puerto Rican education system.
